Things to do Camping - Water Slides
It’s no secret that all of us here at Camping Sage love water slides. The steeper and longer the ride the better.
In previous posts we have featured the World’s longest open air water slide which was assembled at Jonkers Farm, by Bethels Beach, in Auckland, New Zealand. At 6000feet and with a 1.5 minute ride that is still probably the World’s longest water slide.
If New Zealand is too far to go you will be pleased to hear the slide has been reconstructed at the Action Park, New Jersey.
We are also very keen on natural water slides and rides such as Rere Rock - Again in New Zealand. New Zealand is really beautiful. It might be a long way away but it is well worth a long camping and hiking trip.
A little closer to home we have Slide Rock National Park in Arizona. You can spend thousands of dollars on water slides but for many people the gentler action of Slide Rock is just about perfect.
Planning This Year’s Camping Trip?
Ok, we are water slide junkies. If you are like us and you are planning this year’s camping trip you might like to consider a trip to Germany to ride on the World’s longest enclosed Water slide.
The Magic Eye is the longest closed tube water slide in the world. At almost 1200feet long and dropping over 72 feet it is a pretty impressive slide.
It’s located at Galaxy Erding aquapark in Erding, Germany
