A couple of days ago we posted about Slide Rock, Arizona. The point was that you can spend lots of money to ride enormous, purpose built water slides or you could seek out something more natural. Curiously, the natural slides seem much more satisfying even if they are not always quite as fast or exciting as the man made variants.
We got a little interested in where you might find the best natural waterslides.
Not surprisingly - there are hundreds. We are going to feature a few more of them in future posts. If you are travelling further afield for your camping trips you could do far worse than include a couple of these slides into your itinerary.
Today we are going to take a quick look at Rere Rock in New Zealand.
The web site gives its location as a 50km (a bit over 30 miles) drive north-west from Gisborne on Wharekopae Road. No - that didn’t mean anything to us either. What did catch our attention is that Rere Rock slide is a 60-metre-long natural, EPIC water slide!
60m is about 66yds. It may no seem that big but take a look below.
