Wide Range of Tent Stoves Available

Our article on the Cabela Ultimate Alaknak tent caused quite a stir over on facebook. Two of the most common questions were:

• Can you really get woodburning stoves for tents?
• Aren’t woodburning tent stoves really expensive?

Quite a few people also questioned the safety of having a stove in the tent but we have heard of no real problems.

As we have never owned one of these beasts we decided to do a bit of research. It turns out there are quite a lot of stoves on offer specifically designed for tents with a chimney outlet.

Here’s a pretty random selection of stoves available. You can buy them from many major outdoor and hunting stores. The ones showed here are all from Amazon. Chimney Ovens

Not only did we find a really large range of stoves available but we found you could get a surprisingly large range of accessories. In the Hunter Stoves package above you can see that it comes with a combined water heater.

You can also get ovens that use the heat from the stove pipe chimney for cooking and baking.
