To the purist one of the saddest things happening in the camping world is the ever increasing rise in the use of gadgets. This is not so much in things that make life easier like better, quicker water purifier bottles or innovative, lightweight tent designs. No, what they object to is the rise in the numbers of people that simply cannot go camping without their laptop, tablet or iphone (to name but a few).
To be fair, we accept modern gadgets and communications as a fact of life. If your camping trip is well planned you are likely to have little time or you are going to be too tired to use them anyway.
Still, if you are going to take your gadgets camping with you they might as well work properly.
