Ultimate Alaknak Tent - Still the Best?
It has been almost a year since we featured a post on Cabela’s Ultimate Alaknak tent. At the time that was one of the most popular posts we had ever run. There were lots of questions that we tried to answer in a couple of subsequent posts concerning Wood Burning Stoves for tents.
There was also a fair bit of discussion on just how big these tents are. This question came up so often we wrote a separate post - click here if you are interested.
What we have today is a short video showing the tent in use complete with a Colorado Cylinder Stove (Spruce)
We really like this video. It is shot with a mobile phone so it is a bit shaky in places. Listen out for the bit at the start where he zooms in to a RV and says, “That’s not camping. This is camping” as he pans round to his Ultimate Alaknak tent.
At around 1:10 you get to see the foil sheet around the stove chimney. This stops any damage to the tent from any hot embers from the chimney falling back down.
Note, this is the smallest of the Cabela Alaknak tents. It is rigged out with 2 camp beds and a couple of chairs. Add in the wood stove and the tent is pretty full. You can get Alaknak’s that sleep up to 12 people.
We are really impressed with how clean and tidy the tent is too. You can even see his broom in the corner. We take our hats of to you EW Olemite
