Glamour + Camping = Glamping in Washington State Park

Glamping may have made its way over the Atlantic from the UK but it is being enthusiasticaly embraced by a number of National and State Parks. Glamping manages to convey the spirit of outdoors living with none of the inconveniences. Luckily, there is a growing number of people who are willing to pay good money to experience camping with luxury.

‘Glamping’ comes to Moran State Park

Washington State Parks is getting more adventurous with ways to get your getaway business. Now you can go “glamping” (glamour + camping) at Moran State Park on Orcas Island.

The state parks commission is partnering with Orcas-based Wanderlust Camps to provide cushy camping.

“Visitors can enjoy the island and park and look forward to a night of luxury in a classic canvas-wall tent featuring tasteful furnishings, a cushy queen-size bed and comfortable mattress fitted with luxury linens,” according to a state parks announcement.

Campers may reserve any of five walk-in glamping sites….
